Our Story
Dallas grew up on a ranch in Wausa, Nebraska, where his family raised horses and cattle. Dallas doesn't recall the first time he rode, but he does recall when he first started taking outside horses at the age of 12. It was just for the neighbors but throughout high school it grew more into a business. Training horses and rodeo consumed every second of his time after that. He set off for college in Rapid City on a rodeo scholarship, and during one of his many rodeo travels he met his wife Chelsie. After he made the College Rodeo Finals, Rapid City cut the rodeo team and Dallas transferred to South Dakota State University (SDSU) to complete his education and join their rodeo team. It was at SDSU that he met one of the McCutcheon brothers. Through this connection Dallas was able to train under Jim McCutcheon out of Valley View, TX. After working for Jim he graduated from SDSU with a B.S. in Animal Science and a minor in Equine Science. Dallas started training horses full time after graduation and in just a short time, he has trained multiple World Show Qualifiers and NRHA Money Earners.
Chelsie grew up on a ranch near Ethan, SD, where her family raised horses and cattle also. She competed in play-days and 4-H rodeos all over SD. Chelsie also traveled alot with her family's affair of racing Thoroughbreds. At age 17 she acquired her first license as an exercise rider for her father and other trainers in NE. She is a graduate of Northeast Community College with a degree in Animal Science. While in college, Chelsie ran barrels for Northeast. After Chelsie graduated college she acquired her
trainer’s license and trained race horses for her father and some of his clients in NE. She has gained a great mass of knowledge from very respectable veterinarians and trainers with pre-race, post-race and lay-off soundness care for the Equine Athlete. She currently works for Merck Animal Health, and trains
and runs barrels horses on the side. When not running barrels she has also entered the slower paced action of reining.
